TOPS’ GM Craig Powell has been with the company for a long time and interest in all things related to knives has continued to expand. With plenty of help from Leo (TOPS’ President) Craig has designed a number of knives including the Poker. Designed as a Kiridashi style knife that he could use specifically for cutting leather for projects the Poker also makes a solid self-defense tool with influences based on Craig’s Martial Blade Concepts training. The fine-tipped Wharncliffe blade is a perfect choice for utility and defensive tasks with a compact size for easy carry and reliable TOPS construction.
Brand new directly from TOPS Knives.
Blade: The Poker is made from differentially heat treated, 1095 High Carbon Tool Steel offering a blend of cutting performance and toughness. The Acid Rain Finish pairs an acid wash and tumble for a discreet finish that hides wear from use. Thin, 1/8″ thick blade stock delivers good cutting performance while the narrow tip and straight cutting edge delivers a precision cutting tool regardless of the task.
Handle: Layered Natural and Black canvas Micarta offer a comfortable and full grip in the hand with contours and finger grooves for a secure grip. The scales are supported by the full tang construction which ends in a Karambit-like ring facilitating added security in the grip and the use of ring knife techniques.
Sheath: Comes with a custom molded Kydex sheath equipped with two (2) Beta Loops for carry.
1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
