This collaborative effort features Bill Harsey’s signature styling combined with premium materials and Spartan’s precision fit and finish. Comfortable in-hand and ready for hard use this version features a Nichols Damascus blade, anodized titanium handles and deep, elaborate engravings: “Do not fear my dear” banners framing a classic plague doctor figure on the front and virus particles on the back with bronze biohazard engraved domed pivot hardware. Blade:Â A classic, utilitarian drop point blade is made from Nichols stainless Damascus with a top swedge and high saber grind for balanced performance and durability. Acid etched to bring out the unique look of the pattern welded steel, the blade offers an eye-catching look with modern performance. Riding on rugged bronze washers the blade deploys fast and smooth via dual titanium thumb studs. Aggressive jimping on the thumb ramp offers added traction and a point for indexing.
Handle: Ergonomic handles have been constructed from custom anodized 6AL4V titanium with deep engraved graphics along with a Spartan engraved clip insert. The back titanium slab forms an integral frame lock mechanism for reliable lock-up in hard use conditions. Custom anodized titanium barrel spacers, handle screws and oversized pivot/over travel stop complete the construction.
Carries via a reversible titanium Spartan Arrow pocket clip.
Nichols Stainless Damascus:Â Stainless Damascus offers the performance of a modern stainless steel with the striking look of etched, pattern welded steel. Composed of AEB-L and 304, Nichols’ stainless Damascus delivers exceptional corrosion resistance and toughness with good hardness for edge retention.
