The Protech Tactical Response TR-4 is a full-size, tactical, button lock automatic that is durable, comfortable, lightweight, and fast in the hand. The saber ground, drop point blade is simple and functional for both utility and martial use. This Operator series version comes in a sterile all black colorway with CPM-D2 tool steel blade, Feather Texture milled aluminum handles and Tritium button inlay.

Blade: Durable black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating gives the American CPM-D2 tool steel enhanced corrosion resistance and a low profile look. The large drop point comes equipped with a durable saber grind and top swedge for balanced performance. The blade deploys via a simple, robust, button operated coil spring which delivers fast deployment when the seconds count. This sterile Operator series knife has a Tritium insert in the button for low light indexing.

Handle: 6061-T6 Anodized aluminum makes the Tactical Response both tough and lightweight with a black hard anodized finish that is durable and visually appealing. Milled finger grooves provide a comfortable and secure grip in the hand, with subtle jimping for indexing and Feather Texture milling for visual appeal and added traction. A hardened 410 steel back spacer contains a generous lanyard hole and protrudes from the pommel end of the handle for use as an impact tool. The button lock mechanism is flawless in operation, providing a rock solid lockup with a slide safety for added security.

CPM-D2: Standard ingot D2 has been used since WW II and is a semi-stainless tool steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention. CPM-D2 is cleaner, with a more refined grain structure and significantly better strength and toughness compared to ordinary D2.
