The Protech Tactical Response TR-4 is a full-size, tactical, button lock automatic that is durable, comfortable, lightweight, and fast in the hand. The saber ground, drop point blade is simple and functional for both utility and martial use. This piece has a black handle with matching hardware and clip and a DLC coated CPM-D2 blade with unique topographic laser etching.

Blade: Made from American CPM-D2 tool steel, the large saber ground drop point blade delivers strength, performance and extended edge retention. The durable black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating enhances the corrosion resistance and is discreetly non-reflective, while the custom topographic laser engraving delivers visual appeal. The blade deploys via a simple button operated coil spring for fast, one-handed automatic deployment.

Handle: 6061-T6 aluminum is tough and lightweight with a durable black hard anodized finish for a low profile look. Milled finger grooves and jimping help with indexing and deliver traction in hand. The hardened 410 steel back spacer has a generous lanyard hole and can be used as an impact tool. Backed by a slide safety for secure carry, the button lock mechanism is smooth and reliable with rock solid lockup.

CPM-D2: Standard ingot D2 has been used since WW II and is a semi-stainless tool steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention. CPM-D2 is cleaner, with a more refined grain structure and significantly better strength and toughness compared to ordinary D2.
