The UTX-85 (15% smaller than an Ultratech or 85% the size of one) double action out the front automatic knife from Microtech makes a more compact, everyday carry option that is as robust and ready for action as its larger counterpart. As part of the Signature Series this “Jedi Master” version has a black textured handle, bronze ringed hardware and green double edge blade.

Blade: The double edge blade has clean slicing plain cutting edges and a fine piercing point. Grinds and fullers are finished in durable green Cerakote coating, while the flats are contrasting satin. Double action automatic operation is fast, smooth, and reliable. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.
Handle: The black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has contoured edges for comfort and smooth pocket transition with Tri-Grip textured milling near the pommel for added grip and style. Several areas of strategic milled jimping around the handle provide added traction. Microtech’s proprietary bronzed ring milled hardware completes the construction, along with glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number, date of production, logo and Jedi insignia.
Carries via a stainless steel deep carry clip.
Blade steel is unmarked. It is likely one of the many high performance stainless steels (M390, Elmax, 204P, XHP, etc.) used by Microtech knives.
