Microtech UTX-85 Apocalyptic CTS-204P Part Serrated Double Edge OTF Automatic Knife 232-11AP

The UTX-85 (15% smaller than an Ultratech or 85% the size of one) double action out-the-front automatic from Microtech is a more compact version of the popular Ultratech making it even better suited to everyday carry. This version has a black contoured handle and partially serrated, Apocalyptic finished, double edge CTS-204P blade.

Blade: Equipped with a blasted and tumbled Apocalyptic finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp cutting edges with aggressive half-length serrations. The Apocalyptic finish is discreetly non-reflective and excellent at hiding wear from use. The dagger-like blade is made from high performance CTS-204P stainless steel. Operation of the 3.13 inch blade is fast and smooth via the double action automatic mechanism. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both positions to reduce wear.

Handle: A smooth, black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has contoured edges for a comfortable feel in-hand, reduced weight and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. Several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the edge enhance traction. Construction is completed with Microtech’s proprietary Apocalyptic hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry clip.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler’s M390.
