The Kabar TDI Pocket Strike is a compact everyday carry fixed blade that is also an ideal go-to for close quarter encounters with suspects. Designed by John Benner, founder and owner of the Tactical Defense Institute, the TDI Pocket Strike blends the utility of a drop point blade with the versatility, speed and retention of the classic Filipino Karambit. This version comes with a black coated, plain edge, AUS8A stainless steel blade, black Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon handles and polymer sheath.
Brand new, direct from Kabar Knives.
Blade:Â Thick, full tang construction makes the drop point blade highly durable while the high hollow grind and top swedge deliver a fine piercing point and powerful slicing performance for such a compact blade. A durable black traction coating provides enhanced corrosion resistance and is discreetly non-reflective. The canted blade angle makes for an ergonomic cutting experience for comfort during extended use.
Handle:Â The full tang supports durable, weather resistant FRN handle scales, attached with black stainless hardware. The spine rides proud to the scales giving a contoured feel with low-profile carry. The end ring allows for fast draw and positive retention of the knife in both tip-up and tip-down grips.
Sheath:Â Carries via a rugged, hard polymer sheath with reversible carry clip.
Japanese AUS-8 Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
