Robust and compact, the Heretic Medusa makes a great tactical everyday carry folder thanks to superb design, build, and materials. A simple, rock solid button lock mechanism activates a snappy coil spring mechanism for decisive and fast deployment, while the straight forward, ergonomically designed handle delivers a secure grip for utility or martial use. This Limited version comes with a two-tone Battle Worn bronze Elmax stainless-steel Tanto blade, flame anodized titanium handles with bronze hardware and ironwood inlaid button.
Brand new, direct from Heretic Knives. Flame pattern on handle varies from knife to knife – Each is unique
Blade:Â Ground with a high saber and top swedge for solid performance and durability the Elmax Tanto blade has a clean slicing plain cutting-edge and snappy coil spring automatic deployment. Jimping on the spine helps with indexing and traction. A subtle bronze color lends a handsome appeal to the two-tone finish, blasted and tumbled Battle Worn on the grinds and fine satin on the flats.
Handle:Â Two thick slab titanium scales deliver a solid heft in the hand and are tumbled and flame-pattern anodized for a unique style. The edges are chamfered for comfort with strategic jimping for a solid, secure grip. A partial back spacer protects the edge when closed and extends from the pommel for use as an impact tool and lanyard attachment point. Rounded for ease of use, the ironwood button lock mechanism is simple, handsome, and secure. Bronze Torx hardware rounds out the construction.
Carries via a right hand milled titanium roller ball clip.
Bohler Elmax: Bohler Elmax is a popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Elmax has similar performance to the American CPM-S30V/S35VN, falling between the two in terms of edge retention and toughness, with S35VN level corrosion resistance and similar sharpening response.
