The Gerber 06 is a fully automatic, full size tactical folder that is ready for anything. This knife has a premium design that sets it apart from other tactical autos and is equipped with a high performance, S30V steel blade, robust button lock mechanism and stainless steel striker pommel. This version comes with black aluminum handles and a black oxide coated S30V partially serrated Tanto blade.

Blade: A saber ground American Tanto blade delivers powerful piercing with added durability and good control for fine work. The forward edge works well for flat surface cutting while the matte black oxide coated CPM-S30V is discreetly non-reflective. A section of serrations on the edge make short work of tough material. Slide the safety to ‘red’ and the blade is live, ready for fast, decisive deployment at the touch of a button.

Handle: Two, black coated and skeletonized stainless steel liners support the handle scales, lightweight and tough milled 6061 aluminum with a Type III black hard anodized finish. Milled grooves provided plenty of traction while a generous double guard protects your fingers from the blade. A partial stainless steel back spacer extends from the pommel end for striking. The button lock mechanism provides rock solid lockup and reliable operation with a slide safety for backup.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has good wear resistance (edge retention) and corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels.
