The Boker Kalashnikov 74 automatic is a full size budget friendly option as an entry into the world of automatic knives and a solid choice for EDC weighing in at under 4 ounces! The flat ground blade deploys fast and smooth via the button lock mechanism and the grooved aluminum handles provide comfort and security. This version comes with a black coated, partially serrated D2 tool steel blade and gray aluminum handles.
Brand new from Boker Knives.
Blade: Made from D2 tool steel for enhanced edge retention, the thin, flat ground drop point blade delivers excellent performance with a partially serrated edge for versatility. The blade comes equipped with a black coating for discreet use and enhanced corrosion resistance. Press the button and the blade deploys with speed via the coil spring mechanism.
Handle: The gray aluminum handles are tough, lightweight, and feature finger groves that lock the knife securely in the hand. The handles have a random texture and contoured traction bumps that work in conjunction with the finger grooves delivering a solid four finger grip. The button lock mechanism is smooth, solid, and reliable for safe operation.
Carries via a right-hand stainless steel deep carry clip.
D2 Tool Steel:Â Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
